Sustainability

Intent

As part of our ongoing drive to become more sustainable as a school and people, this bespoke subject will teach the children about the issues surrounding the planet. This is also a proactive response to the governments plan to be net zero by 2030 as well as a target in our Ecoschool action plan created by the eco club councillors.

Implementation 

The children will progress through a series of topics each year, developing their skills further each time. The topics will cover the following:

-Earth's Climate and Cycles

-Water and Life Below Water

-Waste

-Biodiversity

-Energy

-Global Citizenship
